Trivia[]
- Tournament of Heroes is a satire of superhero fighting video games such as Marvel Super Heroes and Injustice, with the intense violence of Mortal Kombat.
- Lamplighter's intro animation is a frame-for-frame recreation of one of Raiden's intro animations in Mortal Kombat 11 , and his fighting style animation is also the same as Nightwing and Aquaman from Injustice: Gods Among Us.
- Homelander himself, of course, was added as a Guest Fighter to Mortal Kombat 1 in the weeks leading up to the season four premiere, with his in-game model looking very similar to the one in said Mortal Kombat game.
- A-Train's Character Selection Animation is very similar to Flash's Idle Animation in Injustice 2. Which makes sense since they're both speedsters.
- The Deep's Character Selection Animation is like his turnaround for when he's revealed as the second member of The Seven in American Hero, which has become a meme.
- Webweaver makes his first cameo appearance.
- Tek Knight's suit of armor can be partially seen without his helmet.
- Polarity is seen in his prime instead of his current age
- For an unknown reason, Lamplighter's robe is green instead of black.
- Homelander only plays as himself when playing this game.
