Trivia

  • According to Eric Kripke, the second season focuses on real world issues of white supremacy, systemic racism, and white nationalism.[3]
  • The prop department built a 40-foot long 11-foot high exploding whale for one of the scenes; there was no CGI in the scene.
  • Homelander struggles with the absence of Madelyn Stillwell.
    • This culminates with Homelander drinking a bottle of Stillwell's milk.
  • This season marks the first appearances of Stormfront, Victoria Neuman, Cindy, Lamplighter (poster only on Season One), Love Sausage, Kenji Miyashiro , Eagle the Archer and many more.
  • This is the first season to release episodes weekly after releasing its first 3 episodes.
  • Additional social commentary at the end includes; the fall of 4 of The Seven (Lamplighter, Deep, Stormfront, and A-Train) as Hughie emerges a humble, heroic anti-hero in the last scene. Starlight points out that Hughie, even without the Vought-type branding, has more integrity, loyalty, compassion, unconditional love, perseverance- hero-like character traits- than any of the Seven. Often the everyday person is the hero - just as Homelander says to the crowds, “You’re the real heroes!”
