Lamar was a United States Senator who was Robert Singer's potential nominee for Vice President. Homelander and Victoria Neuman agreed to be allies so Homelander told The Deep to kill Lamar so that Victoria could be nominated instead. When Lamar went to take a swim at his house, The Deep was waiting in the water and killed him.
