John Godolkin is a supporting antagonist in the Dynamite Entertainment adult comic book series The Boys.

He was the leader and pedophilic superhero benefactor of the G-Men, marketed to the public by its parent company, Vought-American, as a group of oppressed superpowered orphans and outsiders taken in by Godolkin as well as many of their ever-growing spinoff teams.

Backgorund[]

Formation of the First G-Men[]

Little to nothing is known about John Godolkin's past, other than he became the founder and leader of a superhero team called the G-Men, a group he created in 1984 after he somehow managed to acquire Compound V and made a deal with Vought-American. His G-Men were formed largely of children who were kidnapped, brainwashed, and sexually groomed, resulting in them being severely traumatized and dysfunctional. While most of his victims became fiercely loyal, he would have members who threatened the G-Men's existence or even question his authority killed on his orders and later reanimate them as brain-dead zombies, much like Nubia.

G-Men Massacre of 2007[]

The G-Men were first brought to The Boys’ attention after Silver Kincaid committed suicide in her hometown. Hughie Campbell was sent to investigate, going undercover as a supe interested in joining the G-Men.

While Hughie sets the devices in the restroom, a zombie-like Nubia appeared and scared Hughie. The other members calmed down Hughie, after which Godolkin moves Europo to tell Luckless and PussPuss to see him and orders Devine to take Nubia back to her room. Hughie asks what’s wrong with Nubia, to which he replies that she is his "little girl" and the others are 'his children'.

The Boys were able to put together that Godolkin would abduct children, molesting them and brainwashing them by offering superpowers and hedonistic lifestyles. When Nubia attempted to leave Godolkin had Silver Kincaid kill her; Kincaid later committed suicide while Nubia was resurrected in a nearly mindless state. At the same time, James Stillwell at Vought realized that, despite an earlier agreement, Godolkin was building a new Pre-Wiz out of kidnapped children and orders his death before he can become a liability.

Godolkin eventually discovered that Hughie was a government spy. His G-Men cornered The Boys, expressing their undying loyalty despite the crimes committed against them. Before they could kill The Boys, however, Godolkin and the G-Men were massacred by Red River under orders from Vought-American.

Personality[]

Because of his ruthlessness and disturbing nature, John Godolkin is genuinely regarded as one of the most evil supe supervisors to date; so much so that he even cared less about helping than Homelander did at his worst, thereby lacking any shred of excuse for his monstrous actions.
