Great Wide Wonder was a character in the animated anthology series, The Boys Presents: Diabolical.

The Boys Presents: Diabolical[]

Great Wide Wonder was one of the superheroes of Vought-American, who isn't a member of The Seven. He possesses the power of supersonic flight. Despite being a hero, he actually is a drug addict who enjoys heroin enemas and is a customer of drug dealer Oswald Deneeka. Due to his drug addiction, he was picked by The Boys as their next target.

Sometime in 2006, Great Wide Wonder gave a speech in Colombia University and took two female honor students he met in a private celebration up in the sky. He was having sex with them while flying all the way up into space, causing the girls to freeze to death. According to Butcher, their bodies were never recovered and are still floating in the vacuum of space.

In 2007, Butcher forced Deneeka to add a vial of chemicals made by Frenchie into his heroin enema liquid, causing him to enter a drug induced excitement state. He uncontrollably ran right through Ironcast and got both of them killed in a very gruesome way.

Like most supes, Wide Wonder is hedonist and very irresponsible. He allowed himself to accidentally kill multiple women while he was having sex with them, because he forgot (or simply didn't care) that normal humans can't survive on space and, despite being responsible for multiple deaths, does not show any guilt.

He is also addicted to heroin and is very picky when it comes to his drug seller, not trusting most of them to give him a good product.

  • Supersonic Flight: He possessed the power of supersonic flight, easily breaking the sound barrier, and being able to go from Mach 1.5 to Mach 2 in just a matter of seconds
  • Superhuman Durability: Wide Wonder is durable enough to survive the stress of flying at Mach speeds, including withstanding the freezing cold of space and even smashing through buildings unharmed, but when he flies straight through Ironcast, he gets his bones broken and killed.
    • Vacuum Adaptation: As explained by Butcher, while having sex with a few honor students he met in a private celebration he flew all the way up into space, causing the girls to freeze to death, confirming he can survive in space.
  • Superhuman Strength (Tentative): As shown before he died he was able to dent Ironcast's stomach before getting himself killed, which may hint that he had superhuman strength. However it is also possible that this feat was caused by the superhuman momentum which he had at the time.

  • Heroin Addiction: He frequently abused Heroin Enemas, this ultimately led to his demise.
  • Carelessness: He is very irresponsible. He took heroin right before a big event and accidentally killed multiple women, because he forgot that normal humans can't survive in space.

  • Blunt Force/Limited Durability: While his durability are still greater than a humans, he is not invincible. When he flies straight through Ironcast, he gets his bones broken and killed.
