Summary[]
Congratulations! You have been chosen for admission to Godolkin University! We’re thrilled to be a part of your journey to discovering what kind of super you are! Since its founding in 1965, God U has produced some of the best and brightest superheroes the world has ever known, including three members of The Seven! And who knows? Maybe you’ll be next!
Plot[]
Marie Moreau's hemokinesis manifests when she has her first period, during which she accidentally kills her parents, straining her relationship with her younger sister Annabeth. Eight years later, Marie is accepted into Godolkin University, an education facility for training future superheroes ("supes"). On her first day, Marie befriends her roommate Emma Meyer and becomes acquainted with upperclassmen Andre Anderson, Luke Riordan, Jordan Li, and Cate Dunlap. While attending a party, Marie saves a woman from bleeding out after Andre accidentally injures her with his magnetism manipulation. Despite gaining popularity on social media, Marie is expelled by Professor Richard "Brink" Brinkerhoff to protect the upperclassmen's reputations. She later returns to Brink's office to confront him, but finds he had been killed by Luke. Luke goes on a rampage while trying to kill Marie, but is stopped by Jordan and Andre. As he calms down, Luke whispers to Andre before he uses his pyrokinesis to commit suicide.

Trivia[]
- Gen V functions as a spin-off and bridge between seasons three and four of The Boys and teases some shakeups that will likely unfold when The Boys eventually returns.
- Brink's book has a quote endorsement from a writer named Jess Stein, who calls it an "inspirational read for every aspiring Super." This is likely a nod to Jessica Stein, who's credited as a first assistant art director on the show's graphics team.
- Justine tells her peers that her reps are sending her to an audition for a limited series at Vought+. "It's an elevated superhero thing, really a meditation on grief, told through 70 years of sitcoms," she stated. Her description of the show sounds similar to WandaVision, Marvel Studios' 2021 limited series that explored Wanda Maximoff's grief through sitcom-inspired episodes.
- With Queen Maeve believed to be dead and Starlight exiting The Seven, there's room for replacements in the titular supe group with Golden Boy, the star student at Godolkin University, as the top candidate guaranteed a spot.
