Big Chief Apache is a minor character of the Amazon series The Boys.

Background[]

Shortly after Big Chief Apache's birth, his parents accepted Vought's offer to inject him with Compound V, subsequently transforming him into a Supe and granting him superhuman powers and abilities.

In 1971, Big Chief Apache starred in an anti-littering public service announcement, in which he sheds a tear while trash is being dumped behind him.[1]

On October 8, 1976, Big Chief Apache attended the Marathon Man premiere with The Legend, Roy Scheider, Dustin Hoffman, and Anjelica Huston.[2]

  • Big Chief Apache is a parody of Native American superheroes such as Warpath of Marvel Comics and Apache Chief/Dawnstar of DC Comics.
  • Big Chief Apache is based on Iron Eyes Cody, a Sicilian-American actor who built his career playing Native American characters. Cody went so far as to insist, even in his private life, that he was Native American, eventually claiming membership in several different tribes.
