Auntie Sis is a superhero and minor character in the comic book series The Boys. The unofficial leader of Super Duper with an unknown powerset, Auntie Sis appears to act as a protector to the other members of her team.
Background[]
Early childhood[]
At some point of her childhood, Auntie Sis was exposed to Compound V, a fact that would lead her to acquire superhuman abilities.
Long before assuming her superheroine identity, Auntie Sis grappled with a childhood trauma that haunted her. In her early years, she had a distressing experience while outside with her aunt, who was busy hanging laundry. Out of nowhere, a gust of wind dislodged a pair of her aunt's undergarments from the clothesline, and they descended onto young Auntie Sis, enveloping her.
From that moment on, she was plagued by recurring nightmares in which she felt trapped beneath oversized undergarments, which eventually led to her developing a severe case of claustrophobia.
Super Duper[]
Auntie Sis appears all to be familiar with the dark underbelly of the "mainstream" Supe community, mainly from just attending a few parties and hearing about the annual Herogasm event, wanting to insulate her young charges from such dupious characters. Although she denies being the leader, it is obvious that the other members of the team look to her for direction. Auntie Sis also appears to be Super Duper's main contact with Vought-American.
At Malchemical's welcoming party as the new leader of Super Duper, Auntie Sis grew uneasy as he openly mocked the other team members. She suggested he join them on patrol, hoping it would redirect his focus, but this only fueled his ridicule. Reluctantly, Auntie Sis called Vought-American about his behavior.
Malchemical soon learned of Auntie Sis's complaint and warned her that such reports could delay his chances of rejoining Team Titanic. In response, Auntie Sis sternly advised him to improve his conduct and then walked away, not willing to engage in further confrontation.
Later that night, Bobby Badoing stayed up late, troubled by a nightmare that had haunted him. Seeking to comfort him, she shared her personal nightmare from her childhood. As Auntie Sis turned away from Bobby, the truth was revealed: it was Malchemical pretending to be Bobby all along, who by this point learned of her claustrophobia.
Inside Superduper's lair, Malchemical lurked on the ceiling, camouflaged as giant knickers. He gleefully dropped onto Auntie Sis, causing chaos. As the other Superduper members were helpless, Hughie Campbell, alerted by a hidden bug, rushed in to confront Malchemical, demanding he back off from his friends. Although Hughie was overpowered, Billy Butcher intervened, incinerating Malchemical. Hughie convinced Billy to spare Super Duper, deeming them non-threatening. Auntie Sis' presence in the comics remains absent following these events.
